Meeting "Cashew" Exhibition

The "Cashew" exhibition is named after a very popular fruit in Brazil. We call “cashew” is divided into two parts: the fruit, which is the chestnut, and the pseudo-fruit, formed by the juicy, pyriform floral peduncle, yellow, pink or red. The cashew tree, a tropical plant from Brazil, typical in the northeast, particularly in Natal, we have the largest cashew tree in the world, located on Pirangi do Norte beach in the municipality of Parnamirim, twelve kilometers south of Natal, capital of State of Rio Grande do Norte.
Cashew is one of my favorite fruits, so I'm have fond childhood memories were activated upon entering cashew exhibition so I'm  made a video that showed you can check out below.

On February 3, 2024, the edition cycle of the series Meeting about Cashew was return, the action to the Cashew Exhibition, open to the public at the Pinacoteca do Estado do RN, in Cidade Alta, Natal-RN/Brazil. In this edition, entitled Meeting with the Chef: cashew ceviche, there was a demonstration of the preparation of the dish carried out by the executive chef of Grupo Camarões, Divalmir Souza.
I can say that it was an "Explosion of Flavors" to taste the dish, if you liked Cashew it and even those who are not very fond of fruit, you will love tasting the combination that the chef made.
Ceviche is a delicacy of South American cuisine, especially in Peru, where it is considered a typical dish. In Potiguar lands, it gains a touch of originality and flavor, now with cashew as the main ingredient. The guided tour of the Caju exhibition, with the presence of the exhibiting artists, was a fantastic immersion.
The exhibition will run until March this year.

Little bit about me, Creative process, Relationship into Arts, Science and Technology

Describe your background and how it relates to your Arts

I' m began my process like research’s about Arts, Science and Technology when I'm studied Visual Arts at 2004, and getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts (Feb 2008) from federal university of Rio Grande do Norte, Natal/ Brazil, so with that my experience like teacher at class rooms with kids and younger, I'm see news opportunities and perception about the studied of Arts and your process at the world.  That always happens and transitions, so actually this relationship into science and technology don’t on way separately all this is continue process the evolution humanity since Pre historic art’s until contemporary art's.
So I’m studied about Materials Science and Engineering when I'm understand about experimental process and structure the materials. My area of expertise is about chemical syntheses, colors and optical process are my biggest interest. I'm think about all mechanic process of the colors and special about  pigment blue,  and how the blue pigment long the history have different forms of the intention this is very interesting for the art's world and the science and the technology too. I’m work with this  process when  I’m concluded  my master's degree at  materials science and engineering (Dez 2012, UFRN/Brazil) with the research about structure of material, inorganic pigments, chemical routes and the characteristics of the materials about optimization of cobalt aluminate blue used chemical synthesis and statistical design.

Sweet dreams (at process), 2018 acrylic on canvas

My PhD, one part realized at UFRN (Brazil) and (Oregon State University -OSU- USA) it’s about researched about inorganic pigments, whit used in different synthesis routes at YInMnO blue pigment who I'm call this for “one experience in Blue”, this process beginning into 2007 and concludes at 2008. This is paintings workings are about my experience at chemistry department at OSU at Subramanian Research Group laboratory, when I’m learn more about colors and yours different properties for used different shadows and deep blue so it is my concept and my signature like artists where I’m used different technical at my paintings, insert my references: Picasso’s, Van Gogh's, Pop Art, Minimalism, Tropicalism (movement from my country  Brazil) and contemporary arts at generally. All the artists tell one history, so the people around me, also done part this process because when your moved for other country exist one adaptation only possible if you living and learn more with different people but never forget your country like reference, so I'm used this process at my paintings too. My experience like research's area   at science and Engineering too is  mine  influence  at my paintings and I'm worked same time both when I'm concluded  my writing thesis  on Inorganic pigments: the Synthesis and Characterization of YInMnO3 blue pigment using the Complex Polymerization Method (CPM), like so how about my research my paintings represent  different deep: light, dark  of Blue.  All artists tell one history so my paintings say about me, my research life's,  my journey about the world , my perception see the humanity and like I’m continue this practice and the learn and learn more as a researcher.

Who are your biggest influences and why?

My biggest influences of arts are Pablo Picasso (Blue Period- between 1901 and 1904), Van Gogh (Starry Night, 1889), I'm thinking all the contemporary arts and your process influence myself and my process creative. I'm having research about structure at pigments and associated with artistic process ideas about the artistic fundamentals science (Leonardo Da Vince and the Realism). I'm think about the society; culture and this process like different movements artistic happening both at Brazil like at USA whit different context. Actually the process artistic are my influence are:  modernism, minimalism, tropicalism (Brazil ), pop Art, each they have one process  different country for country but the influence generally context the culture identity for  lot peoples. The arts of the world cause influence in my creation process and I'm search always about it the change this process.

Describe your artistic practice

My artistic practice is happening now at this moment, each artist tells a story and lives a moment, this is my artistic process, the possibility of telling my perception, using artistic references to do this and joining my work as a researcher in materials science and engineering . So I'm think about my practice is always at movement, always in modification, like as ideas and movement, the time is flyer and don't stop and ideas as well. My process it about the society and it's culture. The process of art, science and technology that are necessary evolution for people and the world. I'm see my process always in practice and evolving, sometimes controversial and critical in connect to the arts and science with the technology, but it is necessary for the social and cultural development of what we have today called technological evolution, so everything ends up connecting.

Sail (2016)

Sail, 2016 (Mixed techniques acrylic painting, graffiti influence of Surrealism Art, 20X30).

About this paintwork :  You know those things that you feel like saying, but those words are repressed in your emotions by a crazy emotion you end up repressing yourself and  sayed do not do it for fear, fear dominates you frightens, so make do have consequences: Almost all the disease the modern world like depression and panic syndrome it's about it.  So you feeling observed, frustrate and lost, and makes you forget who it's  you. I'm realize that we can have this moment about fear it's are feeling and ours minds like human. This are questions  who asked our self so it's real life so this feelings : anger, love, passion, hate walk together with fear. The fear overwhelms you, terrifies you and makes you tremble like a piece "of green stick", like a punch that tears your heart as slowly as possible, so you know when you working that pain a little, but it's possible grown and sail.

This influence this paintwork is about the surrealism art, and like the human working your unconscious at difference and the possibilities, this my  paint work talk about it: it's one studying series about fear, courage, and the construction the culture model  society at contemporary art and when so I'm beginning  at 2016  explore and talking  more about my process creative and have inspirations at one this my favorite song of the Brazilian sing Chico Buarque de Holanda who have the name Argonauts who say at chorus :

'' Sailing is necessary

Living does not need"

This concept the surrealism art at working the mind human, it's very important for consolidate my process creative about the society, culture and  the direct influence the process artistic of my country , Brazil with Modernism ( during the late 19th Century and early 20th Century) and Tropicalism was a movement of rupture that shook Brazilian popular music and culture between 1967 and 1968 but think about contemporary art and my process this moment at 2019.

The great Gatsby (2013)

Whats up? The Great Gatsby !

I'm always sometimes see again movies like it who this 5th adaptation for movie, whit the recent win the Leonardo DiCaprio at Oscar at 2016, best actor for the Revenant (with Alejandro González Iñárritu, 2016). This  Great Gatsby movie was released at 2013 with Baz Luhrmann (who directed him in Romeo + Juliet, 1996), an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel, also starring Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Tobey Maguire; and  received mixed reviews from critics.  DiCaprio's portrayal as Jay Gatsby was praised : "As for Leonardo DiCaprio, he is now the Gatsby to beat. Despite a borderline comedic entrance – haloed by fireworks and accompanied by Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue"—DiCaprio nails this maddeningly enigmatic character who I'm liked so much. Sometimes I'm agree with the critics who said : He's as tough as Alan Ladd in '49, as suave as Redford in '74, but also vulnerable, touching, funny, a faker, a human. You hear it all in Gatsby's favorite phrase, "old sport," a verbal tic that stumped other actors. It's a tremendous, hard-won performance and enigmatic. Matt Zoller Seitz of Roger Ebert described his performance as Gatsby as "The movie's greatest and simplest special effect," and states "This is an iconic performance—maybe his career best." The film grossed $348 million worldwide and became Luhrmann's highest-grossing film.

I'm considered is actually this movie who have one big guy who try have one different history, trying change for one big love and I'm think about it who's never do mistakes for one biggest love and  who's  never want been one bit one  Great Gatsby  moment it's  life only for been ironic too.  I'm confess for you it's one big history who it one this Biggest who have one movie who you can been  watching anything moment your life and your point perspective about sometimes stuff it's changing when spend time.
